Sherborne Mural back to former glory

You may have noticed that the mural in Old Market Car Park has been repainted in parts. Sian Spencer, an art teacher at The Gryphon School and a freelance artist has done a fantastic job of bringing it back to its former glory.

After each section was painted it was finished with a coating of varnish to help protect it for the next few years and some of the capping at the top of the mural was replaced.

Pictured above from l-r, Anthony Vosper from the Sherborne Stop the Litter Fund, Sian Spencer, artist, Peter Neal from The Sherborne & District Society CPRE and Steve Shield, Town Clerk.

A big thank you to the Sherborne Stop the Litter Fund and The Sherborne & District Society CPRE for their kind donations towards the work carried out.

If you haven’t seen it already and you get the chance, go and have a look, it’s worth it.
