Well attended meetings over the last couple of weeks have been held with representatives from the schools in Sherborne to discuss the creation of a new Youth Council for the town.

As well as the Mayor and Town Clerk attending, Sherborne School, The Gryphon School, Sherborne Girls, Sherborne Primary, Sherborne Prep and Sherborne Abbey Schools also had student representatives.

Great discussions were had and lots of ideas shared at the meetings which has left everyone excited to progress this council further.

A Youth Council would give young people more of a voice in the town and a chance to discuss important issues for them.
