Sherborne Town Mayor, Councillor Jill Warburton, attended a special Evensong of Thanksgiving to celebrate her forthcoming mayoral year, at Sherborne Abbey on Sunday, 1st June.
The event was quite significant, as local records indicate that it marks the very first time a mayor has participated in an Abbey Service to honour her appointment.
