Sherborne Town Council and the Chamber of Commerce have jointly funded the creation of a new Sherborne Heritage Trail for the town.
The trail includes historic buildings and landmarks along with stories and information along the way and is accessed by simply downloading the TrailTale app to a phone and following the given directions. There is the option for audio narration to accompany you along the way.
Steve Shield, Sherborne Town Clerk, said: “We are delighted to give residents and visitors a new way to explore Sherborne. The trail is easy to access, while audio narration brings the history of the town’s key landmarks to life, hands-free.”
Lynda Martin, Chair of the Chamber of Commerce agreed and continued “It’s a wonderful addition for visitors and tourists alike, to showcase all that Sherborne has to offer.”
A youth element may be added in the near future, with Sherborne Youth Council developing ideas for what its members would like to see included.
