The residents of Trinity Manor Care Home in Sherborne were delighted to receive a visit from the new Mayor of Sherborne, Cllr Juliet Pentolfe last week.
It was a wonderful opportunity for the residents to get to know Juliet and listen to a variety of issues currently affecting the town and what sorts of things Juliet intends to action during her tenure.
Everyone learned a little about Juliet growing up in Zimbabwe, and how she ended up in local politics in rural Dorset, and we were fascinated to learn about how different life in Zimbabwe was is in comparison to that in Sherborne.
The Mayor said ‘ I had a most enjoyable and entertaining afternoon on Wednesday. It included lots of talking about Sherborne and learning about forthcoming plans Trinity Manor has in the Autumn to engage with schools.
The Mayor is very keen to assist with an introduction to playing bridge!
