Sherborne’s 120th Anniversary Pageant Weekend

To celebrate 120 years since the first pageant took place in Sherborne, a 120th Anniversary Pageant will be taking place, fittingly, in Pageant Gardens over the weekend of 13th, 14th and 15th of June.

Friday 13th June – the celebrations will commence at 1pm, with a parade of Primary School children, from 5 local schools, walking from the top of Cheap Street, moving down onto Half Moon Street, into Digby Road and finishing in Pageant Gardens.

Each school will be focussing on a specific historical event linked to Sherborne in the last 500 years and will showcase their event in a performance in the gardens, with all acts finishing by 2:30pm.

Saturday 14th June – Sherborne Summer Festival will take place from 12-10pm with local bands and musicians alongside craft, food and alcohol stalls. Admission is free.

Sunday 15th June – Garden Fete with Abbey 104, bring a picnic and listen to local artists play from 10am. The Sherborne Market will also be on, so plenty to do in the town.
