Sherborne Town Council is stepping up its efforts to combat speeding drivers. Another SID – speed indicator device – will give drivers a smile or a frown as they drive into town.
The new device will also be shared on a rota basis with small parishes on the immediate outskirts of Sherborne.
Cllr Robin Legg, who also represents the rural borderlands of Sherborne on Dorset Council, said very small parishes could often not afford such technology, but were still plagued by speeding drivers.
