Urgent Notice
We have just been made aware of a sinkhole that has appeared on St Swithin’s Road in Sherborne.
Dorset Highways are on the scene and the road will be closed for a number of hours in order for works to take place to repair it.
There is no formal notice in place for this but please adhere to any directions being given by the highways team currently at the scene.
As this road is already a pinch point due to the diversions in place because of the road closures around Newell House, we advice that you try to avoid using any of the roads adjoining St Swithin’s, if at all possible.
We hope that the road will be back to normal in the morning
