“Sherborne Town Council continues to maintain communication with the St Johns’ Almshouse for the best interests of the local community. The council is aware of the sentiments expressed from many residents across the town and await the outcome of the current consultation. A petition has been delivered to the town council offices this week signed by local people concerned about the existing residents of the Almshouse and its collective future. It is understood that Stakeholders in the town will be informed of a decision shortly.”
