TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF CLATCOMBE LANE, SHERBORNE
DORSET COUNCIL has issued a Notice under Section 14 [2] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along CLATCOMBE LANE, SHERBORNE between its junction Redhole Lane and its junction with the access to Ambrose Hill House a distance of approximately 150 metres. The Notice is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise likelihood of danger to highway users.
It will come into operation on 23 December 2020 between 0930 and 1530 and remain in force for five days, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 24 December 2020.
This Notice will enable BT safe access to underground and overhead structure for cable renewal to restore customers out of service.
The alternative route, which will be sign posted is as follows: Clatcombe Lane – Sandford Orcas Road – Coombe – A30 – B3145
