Which? readers rated inland locations for their peace and quiet, scenery, food and drink and more.

More than 9000 Which? members were surveyed in June 2023 and asked to rate inland towns and villages they’d visited. Four Dorset locations were named with Sherborne being one of them.

Sherborne was given 71% as a destination score with 3/5 for food/drink, 3/5 for tourist attractions, 4/5 for scenery, 4/5 for attractiveness, 4/5 for shopping and 5/5 for peace & quiet.

The other three Dorset locations were Corfe Castle which ranked 3rd, with an 80% destination score, Shaftesbury with 70% and Dorchester with 67%.
